Eco Friendly Dog Beds

Check your wallet . . . Is your money disappearing on cheaply made dog beds that end up in the landfill?

You want a nice bed for your dog but you don't want to pay a lot for it, so you go to one of the well known retail stores and buy a pretty nice one for 20 bucks . . . only to have your dog shred it a couple hours later . . . or it falls apart when you wash it . . . or your dog just doesn't like it and won't sleep on it. You may as well throw your money in the trash can.

But while you're there, why not pull out some of those dirty soda bottles and let your dog sleep on them? What? That sounds pretty stupid! Maybe so, but my dogs sleep on dirty soda bottles, and they love it!

Tuckered Out Bed

Well, they're not actually dirty anymore because they've gone through a recycling process and have been transformed into a luxurious and comfortable dog bed.

How can dirty soda bottles be transformed into luxurious and comfortable dog beds?

By using something called IntelliLoft fibers, which comes from recycled soda bottles.

The manufacturer starts with dirty soda bottles that you and I have sent to recycling. The bottles are stripped of labels and caps, then cleaned and disinfected. The plastic bottles are chopped into flakes, melted, liquified, then re-engineered into IntelliLoft fibers used in both the fiber fill and recycled eco fabrics. This process can use up to 8 times less energy than it takes to manufacture the same material new.

Recycling Process

The inferior quality dog beds sold in stores are wasting your money and, at the same time, adding more and more garbage to our landfills. But there's a better way . . . By buying eco-friendly dog beds, you not only put money back into your pocket because these beds last longer but you also help your environment by keeping soda bottles out of landfills.

Maybe you’re bringing your new puppy home for the first time and want to be sure she feels welcome and secure. Maybe you’ve noticed that your not-so-young pup is starting to move a little slower getting up from his nap. Or maybe you just need an alternative solution to your dog seeking out the comforts of your couch or bed. In any case, what your dog would really love is a dog pillow bed with bumpers -- a Tuckered Out dog bed.

Tuckered Out Bed      Tuckered Out Premium

What's so great about a Tuckered Out dog bed?

  • The rounded bolster gives added support and allows your dog to snuggle.
  • The open front allows for easy access, especially for older dogs or dogs with orthopedic problems and even for puppies.
  • Made from reinforced berber material, this dog bed provides not only cozy warmth but also stylish durability. It comes in two colors - oatmeal/chocolate and beachglass/chocolate - or, for a few extra dollars, choose our premium Tuckered Out bed featuring a chic cow print design with rugged faux suede bottom and rounded back bolster.
  • The thick denier 100% recycled Intelliloft poly fill gives added volume for maximum comfort without lumping or condensing to give your dog a comfortable night's sleep night after night.
  • The zippered cover is machine washable, providing hassle-free care and maintenance.
  • The fabrics are made from durable materials that are also non-toxic, coming straight from the clothing and upholstery industries in the USA.
  • The fiber fill is created from recycled re-engineered polymer that is cleaned, dyed and sewn together with non-recycled fibers to create a high quality, nontoxic, super soft fabric that is safe for the environment and safe for your dog.

Whether snuggling up against the bolster or down into the comfy folds of the bed or stretching out across the soft cushion, your dog will love the Tuckered Out Bed.

Cindy from North Carolina says, "My 10-year-old golden retriever LOVES this bed. She has never cared for laying on dog beds, but she stretches out in this one all the time. I find her also snuggling in the bumper and using it for support."

Ann from Portland, Oregon, says, "On an average day my husband and I have three pugs running around in our household; our two and a foster. I purchased this bed specifically for our nine year old rescue who has a difficult time getting around because of her severe luxating patellas. Just as I thought, having a bolster like shape allows her to easily get in and out of her bed. Little did we know, the new bed would take presedence over our laps. I guess this means we're going to get one for each room. Thanks for making such a great bed and we appreciate them being eco friendly too!"

But wait! How can plastic soda bottles make a soft and comfortable dog bed?

Quite frankly, I don't really know. What I do know is that my dogs love the Tuckered Out bed and, yes, it is soft. I tried it out myself! They love to snuggle down close to the bolster, and sometimes I find them stretched out in it. The open front allows my dog with a limp to get into it easily. Size large has enough room for both of them.

Washing the cover is fairly easy. You just take it off and throw it in the washer on cold setting so that it doesn't shrink and then either put it in the dryer on low setting or let it air dry. It was a little difficult to put the cover back on the first time I did it, but it came with instructions in between the cover and the pillow with a diagram to show how to do it. I like to fluff up the pillow before putting the cover back on as it can get a little flattened out over time from the dogs lying in the same spot all of the time. Then, after putting the cover back on, simply tuck the fabric in around the bolster. I had to work with it a little to get it like I wanted it but the dogs didn't care if it wasn't perfect . . . just so they had their bed back.

Don't let your dog suffer one more night on a poorly constructed, uncomfortable dog bed. Choose a Tuckered Out dog bed and give him a comfortable rest night after night.

Bethany from Toronto says, "The very best bed anywhere for my dog ! Tried several different ( and expensive ) kinds. She fell in love with this Tuckered Out. She is only 5 pounds, not very much hair, and young - bed is not just for older dogs!  It's warm, dog can snuggle in any way - the bed forms to the dogs' position. She digs like crazy - the material has held up incredibly to the abuse. It is a great compromise between a donut shape and a flat pad.
AND, it's easy to get into ( great for tiny dog legs ).  We are looking forward to more color options becoming available in the future ( hopefully).
"

Donald says, "I had to write and tell you the great success of purchasing this bed, and the only downfall I may have with it.  We Purchased this bed for our little buddy Gizmo, he is getting up there in age, and takes about fifteen or so lurks to even be able to jump into our laps anymore. His old joints hurt alot more now days.  Well on with the results of our purchase, We purchased the tuckered out bed for Gismo, and he loves it, everytime we look and the bed is filled with either Gizmo or the Cat Gabby cat, which leads me to the downfall, there are times Gizmo wants to lay in his bed but cant due to the cat sleeping in it, Looks as though I am gonna have to puchase another one for the cat, so they quit arguing like children on who is gonna sleep in the bed. Also do you make them in human size, they are Great."

Jax from Temecula, California, says, "I bought this toy with little hope that it would survive my two very large bulldogs who can and have chewed through every "indestructable" toy there is. I am so glad that I found this toy, they love it and have had it for about six months but have yet to destroy it. Believe me, I have tried everything that every pet store and website offered as strong and for "heavy chewers"!! I love it and even if they chew through it tomorrow six months is better than six minutes with the others which has ended up costing me hundreds of dollars in toys. Taz and Talulah thank you!!!!"

Paul from Absecon, New Jersey, says, "Hurley has been chewed every day for two years by sharp teeth and is holding up wonderfuly. We bought another two just in case Teddy loses his original."

Maddie from Iowa says, "My puppy is a German Wirehaired Pointer, and she loves to destroy anything and everything she gets her paws on. It got very expensive replacing her toys every single week. She even destroys hard rubber toys. The Hurley has survived a month now, and she is still interested in it. THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!"Buy Now!
